Can I Go to Daikoku PA by Train or Bus?
This is the most common question we get from tourists. The short answer is: NO.
Daikoku PA is located on an artificial island in Yokohama, situated in the middle of a complex highway interchange. There are NO train stations nearby, and walking on the highway is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, while there are public buses that go somewhere near the area, they do not enter the parking area, and walking from the bus stop into the PA is impossible (and illegal).
Can I Take a Taxi or Uber?
While you could potentially take a taxi to Daikoku PA from central Tokyo, getting back is the real problem. Taxis cannot wait for you at the PA, and you cannot hail empty taxis passing by on the highway. Using a ride-sharing app like Uber to call a car to Daikoku PA late at night is extremely difficult and highly unreliable. You risk being stranded on a highway island in the middle of the night.

Many travelers consider renting a car. While this is an option if you have an International Driving Permit (IDP), navigating Tokyo's complex, multi-level highway system (the "Shuto Expressway") at night can be confusing and stressful for first-time visitors.
